The Anita dress was the first one I designed, featuring a fully-fitted bodice with a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, square back and a pleated skirt. It's nipped in at the waist so can be worn with or without a belt, as in the pictures.

The skirt is made with box pleats, so there's a gentle sway while still being structured and draping elegantly. And of course, it has pockets!

Anita has:

  • a knee-length, box pleated skirt

  • a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice

  • cap sleeves

Anita is available in any of my African wax print fabrics. Check out the galleries below, and send me the name of the fabric you like during checkout.

Each fabric is exclusive to you and your piece, as well as being bespoke to your measurements - so every piece of clothing is completely unique.

Click each image to read their individual stories - where they’re from, their sustainability stories, and the ethics behind their production.

Styling Tip

Anita looks great with anything (just like her namesake!) but I recommend keeping it simple. Let the statement neckline and the pleated skirt do all the talking, and keep your jewellery and accessorising minimal. A waist belt in a contrasting colour looks great!

How to Order

  1. Choose between a piece made to your general size or in your exact measurements. Check out our inclusive and body-positive size charts here.

  2. Choose your fabric.

If you can’t decide or need some help, just let me know. If you have a favourite colour, this can help me narrow down a selection for your piece.

Please allow up to two weeks to complete your Anita dress, plus delivery. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process, of course.

About Anita

This dress is named after my mother, who also taught me to sew. Without getting cheesy it was a no-brainer that my first fully tailored dress would be named after the most important and inspiring woman in my life!
