Mariam is a fun shirt-dress, with a half-circle skirt, half sleeves, and a button front.
The bodice is fitted like a proper shirt, but the twirly skirt (with pockets!) gives it a great drape, making Mariam a great choice for workwear and regular use!
The design was inspired by the fabric I used for this version - the TARDIS! I knew this would be the perfect structure for a print like this, and it evolved into this skirt dress from there!
a fitted shirt bodice
a button front (with customisable colours!)
side pockets and a half-circle skirt
a reinforced back yoke
Mariam is available in any of my geometric or African wax prints. Check out the galleries below, and send me the name of the fabric you like during checkout.
Each fabric is exclusive to you and your piece, as well as being bespoke to your measurements - so every piece of clothing is completely unique.
Click each image to read their individual stories - where they’re from, their sustainability stories, and the ethics behind their production.
With the vibrancy of these prints, Mariam’s styling options are endless! Dress for work with a monochrome blazer, or for an occasion with a contrasting colour and jewellery!
I like to wear my piece with a waist belt and a black blazer, which shows off the tailoring really well.
