Ayu is a kimono-style top, with a soft drape and a loose fit - super comfortable!

There’s a rounded V-neck in the front and a high back neck, with cute sleeve details. A contrast belt gives a really nice pop of colour.

Ayu has:

  • belt loops for different fit options

  • loose kimono sleeves with faux cuffs

  • a comfortable drape

Ayu is available in grey, white or black organic cotton. Check out the galleries below, and send me the name of the fabric you like during checkout.

Each fabric is exclusive to you and your piece, as well as being bespoke to your measurements - so every piece of clothing is completely unique.

Click each image to read their individual stories - where they’re from, their sustainability stories, and the ethics behind their production.

Styling Tip

Wear Ayu as you would any other t-shirt! A French tuck works great to show off the sleeves, or wear it untucked with a contrasting waist belt to give it a new shape.

About Ayu

This top was inspired by Wanger Ayu, a Nigerian womenswear designer whose clothes are handmade by female artisans. I really like her combination of contemporary design features with traditional African fabrics, for the modern African woman!
